Meet PEGGY PAUL.

Peggy is our Vice Queen Mother, Hysterian and Viscountess of Racing. A multi titled asset to our organization! Peggy has been a member of the Mad Red Hatters for 4 years and is one of its originating members. Peggy was born in Blue Island, Illinois. Blue Island is a suburb of the big Windy City. Peggy spent her formative years in Illinois, then a brief move to Japan, due to her starring role as an Air Force Wife. After Japan, Peggy lived in Tampa, Florida for 6 years. Tennessee has been her home for the past 25 years. That just about makes her a native. While growing up in the burbs of Chicago, Peggy took an interest in Baton Twirling, Tap Dancing, Acrobats and Marching Bands. She was competitive in the Twirling arena and competed as a team member of a Precision Twirling Team. To this day, she loves a parade! Add a marching band, drums and the bugle Corp and she is looking around for a baton to twirl. Now we know who our choreographer will be if we ever find a parade to participate in.
Peggy was rewarded with yet another title, this one the coveted title of Grandma. Her grandson Elijah Paul Baine lives in Raleigh, NC with daughter Casey and her husband Tony. Casey and Tony also have a 15-year-old son Lee that loves to spend time with Peggy and her husband Andy. And why wouldn’t he? Both Peggy and Andy take delight in sharing with Lee some of the pleasures in life. Driving lessons, guitar instructions, watching sports together and just hanging out. Daughter Mindy and her husband Scot live in Dallas, TX. Both great places to visit! And, as soon as Peggy and Andy retire, their dream is to purchase a Winnebago and tour the country. I’ll bet Dallas and Raleigh are on the tour. Upon retirement, Peggy also wishes to visit Europe and while not traveling, she intends to volunteer her wonderful drive and abilities to some worthy cause.

One of the things about Peggy is her uncanny likeness to Lily Tomlin. Upon Retirement maybe she will consider touring in her Winnebago and doing stage presentations, posing as Lily of course. Better yet, Lily as a Red Hatter!

If money were no object and if time were no object (which of course they are, but lets pretend), Peggy would spend her money on shoes, purses and jewelry. How’s that for a Red-Hat-iTude?

Her chosen partner in life is described as Sentimental. Lucky Peggy. Not only is he sentimental, but also he really likes her! Lucky Peggy again. If it has a motor, this kind sentimental man can fix it! Lucky Peggy again! Andy is a self-taught guitar player and would much rather strum on the guitar, fix or tinker with a motor and take good care of Peggy than paint. Anything but paint!

Peggy and Andy share their home with Molly and Bear. Molly and Bear are Jack Russell Terriers that continually want to play, bark, play, bark. If Peggy had it her way, they would have a whole house full of more Molly’s and Bears.

Furthermore, if Peggy had it her way, the house full of Jack Russell Terrier’s and her kind sentimental guitar pickin’, motor fixin’ soul mate would live a top a mountain, with clear skies every day. Sharing sunrises and sunsets and every now and then a really good storm. She doesn’t care where this mountaintop is; she just wants a mountaintop. I bet pizza and Zima’s are included in watching those sunsets.

When asked what her perfect day would consist of, Peggy would prefer no alarm clock. Coffee would be ready and waiting upon her awakening. After a shopping spree of antiquing, junking, and of course looking for shoes, purses and jewelry, she would love to dine with some gal pals, take in a movie and then go home for a nap. Whew, I guess so! After her nap, a quiet evening with Andy would complete the perfect day. Peggy also relayed that she has even had the pleasure of experiencing the perfect day, several times in her life. Lucky again, Peggy!

An optimist at heart, with just a little sarcasm thrown in for good measure, Peggy faces problems head on. Work it out now, not later. She loves a variety of friendships and enjoys the different levels that each friendship brings. Being an optimist, she will go for it and not look back.

For 35 years, Peggy has spent the better part of each and every workday employed as a Secretary. Peggy has to be one of the best organized and on top of the situation persons I have ever met. If truth were known, I am sure this secretary could handle any situation or project handed to her.

In the early 1990’s, Peggy bought a red hat. A red cowboy hat to be exact. The purpose of this hat was to wear it while riding around in their Mustang convertible, to keep the ‘do’ from blowing all over. Now, only 10+ years later, Peggy owns 5 red hats and knows now that it was destiny that she chose the cowboy hat in red in the first place. The Red Hat Society and the Mad Red Hatters have given Peggy the opportunity to meet and know very special women, whom she would not have met otherwise. And finding great new friends at this stage of the game is like hitting the jackpot!

Now you know just a little bit more about the Vice Queen Mother of the
Mad Red Hatters

Can you see the likeness to Lily now????
