To belong to a disorganization with
NO written rules, other than you must wear a Red Hat and Purple clothing (or a Pink Hat and lavender clothing if you are under 50), sure makes it easy to abide by the rules. There are so many clubs and organizations out there that one can join. Those same clubs gather at the same places we do, they do some of the same things that we do. But we
don't even know that they are there. Know why? First and foremost what comes to mind is that they
don't have on Red Hats and Purple Clothing (or Pink Hats and Lavender clothing for the girls under 50). They
don't have the same hat-titude as a Red Hatter and they have a whole list of rules that they must abide by. |
There has been a huge growth of Red Hat Chapters in every major city of the US, and even some not so major cities. There are hundreds of thousands of Red Hatters all over the world! Each and every Red Hat Chapter is unique and different from all the other Red Hat Chapters; however, every chapter abides by the same ONE Rule. Every member when attending a gathering of a Red Hat Chapter will wear a Red Hat and Purple clothing (or a pink hat and lavender clothing). |

The amount of money involved in abiding by the Red Hat
Society's ONE rule is nominal. Thrift stores, Consignment shops, On line stores and retail stores all offer a wide variety of attire and pricing. A plain straw hat can be transformed into a red (or pink) hat in just a few minutes with a can of spray paint and a co-operating day from Mother Nature. What makes members of the Red Hat Society so unique is that we are there for one another. If you are having trouble putting together a Purple Outfit and a Red Hat, or a Lavender Outfit and a Pink hat, please let your red hat sisters know. Not only are we are a fun loving group, we are a giving and loving group. In fact, if you are in need of anything, reach out to one another. We will do whatever we can to help. |
