Red Hat Day 2004 was deemed
a success. Opry Mills Executives began planning 2005 before the day
was over. There was a parade of hats, a hat contest, tons of
markdowns by the merchants but the main attraction, as you can see from
the photo, was the wonderful door prizes carefully selected by our own
DUTCHESS OF EIGHT MEASURES, Dixie Healy. During the parade we had to
post a guard, armed with a feather to protect the prizes. Accolades
continued for days and a tradition was born.........
